Privacy Policy

Whatever you type into the estimate form: your name, your phone number, which service you are asking about, and — if you choose to give them — your email address and a message. The last two are optional and the form works without them.

And, if you apply for a job, whatever you type into the application form. That is covered on its own further down. Those two forms are the only things on this site that ask you for anything, and there is no account to create.

The form also contains a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. It exists to catch automated spam submissions, and its contents are discarded.

We use it to call you back about your project and to prepare your estimate. That is the entire purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to a lead-generation service, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote.

If you would like us to delete what you sent, call or email and we will.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views, see which pages people arrive on, and measure how quickly the site loads on real phones. Neither one sets a third-party cookie. Rather than following you, Vercel works out a visit from a hash of the request itself and discards it after 24 hours — so what comes back to us is a count, not a person, and it is not tied to your IP address.

We also record when someone taps a phone number, sends the estimate form, or sends a job application, so we can tell which parts of the site are actually useful. That records the fact and the place on the page — never what you typed. On an application it also records which job was applied for, and nothing else about you: not your name, not your number, not a word of what you wrote.

Beyond that, nothing: no advertising cookies, no ad pixels, and no social or map embeds tracking you on our behalf. The service-area map is a graphic we drew, not an embed. There is no cookie banner because nothing here stores anything on your device to consent to.

The phone and text links on this site open your own phone app — they do not send anything anywhere on their own. If you call or text us, we will have your number, and we will use it to talk to you about your project.

What you type into the estimate form is emailed straight to us and nowhere else. There is no database behind it, no CRM, and no third-party form service holding a copy. Patrick reads it himself, usually the same day, and uses it for one thing: working out what your job needs so he can come and quote it.

It stays in our email, which means it is there as long as the rest of our correspondence is — we do not delete it on a schedule, and if you would like your inquiry removed, call or email and we will do it.

The company that built and looks after this site, Root Labs, is copied on those emails. That is so a broken form gets noticed the same day rather than three weeks later, and so we can tell how many people the site actually helps. It means they see what you sent. They do not use it for anything else and it is not sold, shared or added to any list.

The job application form asks for your name, your phone number, a bit about your experience, whether you drive and whether you have your own transport, and when you could start. Your email address is optional. If there is a job listed, it also records which one you applied for.
