Commercial Concrete
Large slabs, building pads and industrial pours — held to the same standard as a backyard patio: thorough, professional, no corners cut. We keep the excavation, the base and the concrete under one contract, so one team is accountable for the ground and for everything that goes on top of it. Big job or small, every project gets our full attention from the first cut to the final finish.
Patrick puts it plainly: "Commercial is extremely big monolithic slabs." Building pads, floor slabs for shops, warehouses and light industrial buildings, equipment and dumpster pads, and the site work underneath all of it. A large slab is not a big patio — it is a pour with a mat of steel through it, a placing hose, a continuous supply of ready-mix and a crew large enough that the finish stays ahead of the concrete. Getting that right is mostly logistics and base preparation rather than technique on the day. For a commercial client the argument is the same as it is for a homeowner, just with more money resting on it: we self-perform the excavation, the base and the concrete, so when the subgrade turns out to be softer than the drawings assumed, that is a conversation about a fix rather than a negotiation about whose contract it falls in. We are a family-owned company, and we like big work — building pads, floor slabs, and the site work that goes underneath them. We are also honest about where our line is: some projects belong to a heavy-civil contractor with a much larger fleet, and if yours is one of them we would rather say so than stretch to find out. Very little is too big to ask about, though. How commercial jobs run
Plans, spec and a straight answer
Send the plans and you get a straight answer either way. We would rather tell you early that a job is not a fit than win it with a number we could not stand behind.
The pad before the slab
Strip, cut, structural fill and compaction in lifts, tested where the spec calls for it. On a big slab this is the half that decides whether the floor is still flat in five years.
Steel, logistics and the pour day
Mat steel set, the placing plan worked out and the concrete supply booked so the pour never stalls. A big slab that runs out of mix mid-pour has a cold joint through it forever.
Finish, joint and hand over
Finished to the spec — hard trowel where the use calls for it — joints cut on a spacing that suits the slab, and the site left clean and usable.

Yes, and on commercial work that is usually where the value is. Most concrete companies sub the dirt out. When the subgrade turns out to be softer than the drawings assumed, having one contractor responsible for both halves turns a contractual argument into a scheduling decision, and schedule is what commercial work actually costs.
