ADU Foundations
A detached ADU needs the ground cut and compacted, footings and a stem wall poured to inspection, and water, sewer and power trenched out from the house. Most contractors do one of those three. We do all of them, with our own crew.
Where we work
Newberg is our busiest market and about ten minutes from the shop. It is also the town we can show you the most of: foundations, driveways, patios, drainage, the pump track at the park and the public sidewalk outside the pizza place downtown.
Newberg is the town we work in most and the one closest to our shop, which is why more of our finished work is here than anywhere else. Rather than describe the place to you, here is what we have actually built in it. We poured the foundation for a Habitat for Humanity home here — a monolithic slab over vapor barrier and rebar, floated and hard-troweled, and one of the jobs we are proudest of. Downtown, we tore out and rebuilt the public sidewalk in front of the pizza place downtown with the store trading the whole time, cones out and the door open, because a business that has to close for its own sidewalk has paid twice. On the residential side we fixed a property that had water sitting where it should not: a catch basin, a French drain and a new concrete driveway placed to send the water somewhere sensible instead of at the house. We put in an exposed-aggregate patio, front entry, walkway and stoop on another. And out at the bike park we formed and poured the wall at the pump track. That is five jobs, five different trades' worth of work, and one crew doing all of it — which is the actual reason to call us rather than anything we could say about Newberg.
What we do here

A detached ADU needs the ground cut and compacted, footings and a stem wall poured to inspection, and water, sewer and power trenched out from the house. Most contractors do one of those three. We do all of them, with our own crew.

New driveways, and tear-out-and-replace on the ones that have finally given up. We haul the old one away and rebuild the base, because the base is why it failed.

Footings, stem walls and slab-on-grade for houses, additions, shops and outbuildings — dug, formed, poured and finished by one crew, on the framer's schedule.
