Where we work

Concrete Contractor in Beaverton, OR

Beaverton is established neighborhoods, which in our trade means tearing out concrete that has done its thirty years and replacing it properly. Two driveways here, both full replacements, both photographed start to finish.

Most of the concrete in Beaverton was poured a long time ago, so the job here is usually a replacement rather than a first pour — and a replacement is the one where the preparation matters most, because whatever cracked the old slab is still under the new one. On the most recent one we took out a long driveway that had gone brown, split diagonally and opened at a joint, dug it out, regraded and compacted the base, ran steel mesh across the whole area and placed it wider than it had been, finished with tooled joints in large clean bays. You can see the before and after of that one side by side, from the same standing position, which is the only honest way to show it. The other job here was the same story on a different street: tear-out, grading, compaction, formwork, reinforcement and a broom finish. If a driveway is cracking in the same place every time it gets patched, the patch was never the problem — come and look at the base with us.

What we do here

The work we do most in Beaverton

  • A complete new driveway still curing damp, running from a rounded street approach across a wide slab to the garage of a house under construction, with a stepped concrete walkway climbing alongside it and traffic cones and caution tape across the approach

    Driveways

New driveways, and tear-out-and-replace on the ones that have finally given up. We haul the old one away and rebuild the base, because the base is why it failed.

  • Poured concrete stem walls with anchor bolts set, a black vapor barrier laid over compacted base inside the forms, and a compact excavator parked alongside

    ADU Foundations

A detached ADU needs the ground cut and compacted, footings and a stem wall poured to inspection, and water, sewer and power trenched out from the house. Most contractors do one of those three. We do all of them, with our own crew.

  • A finished poured foundation for a house — perimeter stem walls, interior bearing walls and crawlspace vents, with stripped form lumber stacked around it

    Foundations

Footings, stem walls and slab-on-grade for houses, additions, shops and outbuildings — dug, formed, poured and finished by one crew, on the framer's schedule.
